Shibuya Startup Support (SSS) will join IGNITE Philippines as a community partner this year. Held in Makati, the business hub of Manila, from October 10 to 11, IGNITE Philippines is one of the country’s premier startup events.
About IGNITE
Co-developed by TechShake and Dentsu X, IGNITE Philippines is a conference aimed at revitalizing the startup ecosystem in the Philippines. It brings startups, investors, corporations, and government officials not only from the Philippines but the ASEAN region and beyond. The event focuses on capturing new technologies and innovation trends while offering business opportunities abroad.
Program Overview
The conference will feature speaker sessions, the startup pitch competition called Wildfire, and business networking opportunities. Wildfire will be held in collaboration with Pegasus Tech Ventures‘ pitch event, the Startup World Cup. As the Philippine regional qualifier for the Startup World Cup, the winner will earn the opportunity to compete in the global finals held in Silicon Valley.
The Philippine Ecosystem
In recent years the Philippine market has experienced rapid growth, with consumer demand especially rising in the B2C business sector. Key areas expected to see significant growth include AI, sustainability, fashion, food, fintech, HR solutions, and infrastructure.
