Bringing Latin Innovation to Shibuya – Online Pitch Event Happening on April 25th, 2025

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is running the Bilateral Acceleration of Innovation with Latin America, an acceleration program aimed at bringing startups from developing countries to Japan to contribute to solving social challenges.Through this program, JICA and government agencies from Latin American countries have gathered over 200 startup applications. From a pool of approximately 160 applicants from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, six outstanding startups compatible with the Japanese market have been selected for their online pitch event.Here, six Latin American entrepreneurs will pitch their startups, with one company being awarded the Shibuya Award—receiving continued acceleration support to help them achieve a soft landing in the Japanese market.
